See it through

A total stranger struck up a conversation with me the other day, (i was in a uniform that arouses curiosity). He asked a few questions, we exchanged pleasantries and he said "keep up the good work! See it through, it's a poem... look it up." I'm glad I looked it up because it's pretty inspiring.  I'm saying the same thing to you. Whatever journey your on, keep moving, put one foot in front of the other , it may seem super slow sometimes but just keep it up and see it through!! Have a great day!! The poem is below

See it Through
When you're up against a trouble,
Meet it squarely, face to face;
Lift your chin and set your shoulders,
Plant your feet and take a brace.
When it's vain to try to dodge it,
Do the best that you can do;
You may fail, but you may conquer,
See it through!
Black may be the clouds about you
And your future may seem grim,
But don't let your nerve desert you;
Keep yourself in fighting trim.
If the worst is bound to happen,
Spite of all that you can do,
Running from it will not save you,
See it through!

Even hope may seem but futile
When with troubles you're beset,
But remember you are facing
Just what other men have met.
You may fail, but fall still fighting;
Don't give up, whate'er you do;
Eyes front, head high to the finish.
See it through!

The existential crisis of Job: The search for meaning

The phrase " existential crisis" may sound deep and far fetched to you so lets use Job's story to set it up. Let's introduce Job, a wealthy man with kids who do what most rich kids do, they party. He has lots of land. Set up a large farm in your  mind and add some 7000 sheep, 3000 camels, 1000 oxen  and 500 female donkeys. You need a lot of land to hold all those animals! He is a man with so much integrity that one book of the bible is dedicated to him. The question is why did he have so many trials? Everything went wrong in Job's life, yes e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. It all started with something he could not see in Job chapter 1. God boasts about Job and Satan tells God that the only reason Job serves him is because of the things God does for him.  His proposition is for God to let him , Satan, switch things around so that Job would curse God. God agrees but states that Satan cannot take Job's life.                 ...

Fear is a powerful divider- Love worth fighting for

                 We all have fears. We react to those fears differently. Sometimes they lie close to the surface and other times deep within. The difference is whether or not we let our fears rule us or cast them aside. In relationships we may fear rejection, a repetition of past emotional trauma, loneliness, devastation, abandonment, or abuse. Our fear has the ability to make us hear things that are not said or assume things that are not really occurring at that time. The ability to differentiate between that fear and the truth will determine if we will let love win. If we will set our fears aside and get to know the person standing before us, learn to love them, learn to deal with their fears as well as ours; listen to what that person is really saying we may find a treasure we didn't know existed.
